Coming soon to a school near you! The Macy's Thanksgiving Parade, Harris style! This is a fun family project that we do in November! You and your family will build a float for our parade, if you choose to participate! There are 2 requirements: it must have at least one balloon, and it must roll. Stay tuned for all of the details! Here are some floats from last year! I can't wait to see what you all make this year!

It's a great day at Harris Elementary! There is a crew putting on a new roof on our historic gym as we speak! We are thankful to preserve this bit of history! When the new roof is completed, the plan is to repair the beautiful wooden ceiling and replace the floor that has been affected by the leaks. Thank you, PCSSD, for preserving our heritage!

👕 AVID Wednesday! 👕

Don’t forget to show your AVID pride by rocking your college and career shirts tomorrow! At Daisy Bates Elementary, Tigers took AVID to the next level with their annual Rock Your School Week. 🐯

Teachers flipped their classrooms into real-world career spaces — from doctors’ offices 🩺 to other exciting professions — giving scholars a chance to explore college and career pathways in hands-on, creative ways. 🎓

This event and AVID are all about helping our scholars DREAM BIG, set goals, and see their future selves in action. A huge shoutout to our teachers for making learning an adventure every single day! 📚

⏰ Tomorrow, remember to wear your college or career shirt to show what your future could hold or where in your past shaped you. 👕🎓
